A Tornado is a violent rotating coloumn of air which is in contact with both the Earth's surface and a cumulonimbus cloud.Metorologists have 2 scales to use to rate the intensity of a tornado:
Fujita Scale:
- F0:40-72mph(64-116km/h) Light damage.
- F1:73-112mph(117-180km/h) Moderate damage.
- F2:113-157mph(181-253km/h) Considerible damage.
- F3:158-206mph(254-332km/h) Severe Damage.
- F4:207-260mph(333-418km/h) Devastating damage.
- F5:261-318mph(419-512km/h) Total damage.
Enchanted Fujita Scale:
- EF0:65-85mph(105-137km/h) Light damage.
- EF1:86-110mph(138-178km/h) Moderate damage.
- EF2:111-135mph(179-218km/h) Considerible Damage.
- EF3:136-165mph(219-266km/h) Severe damage.
- EF4:166-200mph(267-322km/h) Devastating damage.
- EF5:Greater than 200mph(Greater than 322km/h) Explosive damage.
